Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
86. What remains from Allah’s provision for you is better, if you are believers. And I am not a guardian over you.
[96] That is, you are well-off people who eat and drink comfortably; you have no need to be dishonest. Therefore, be content with the profit obtained through lawful means; Allah will grant blessing in it. If you accept these words and act upon them, it will be better for you, and do all these deeds fearing Allah. I am not your overseer to keep watching who gives short measure and who gives full measure, and who is being dishonest in business dealings and who is not. The second meaning of this sentence could also be that I have conveyed Allah’s message to you, and that was my only responsibility; it is not my duty to bring you to the right path and leave you there.
