Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

69. And surely, Our messengers (angels) came to Abraham with good news [80]. They greeted him with peace; he answered, "Peace," and it was not long before he brought them a roasted calf (as a meal).

The Angels Bringing the Good News of Ishaq to Ibrahimؑ:
In this surah as well, the order of the stories of the prophets is the same as previously mentioned in Surah Al-A'raf, that is, after Thamud comes the mention of the destruction of the people of Lut. Here, the mention of Ibrahimؑ comes incidentally, as a prelude, because the angels who were appointed for the destruction of the people of Lut first came to Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ to give him the good news of a son. These angels came in human form and greeted him with peace. Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ replied to their greeting and then became busy with their hospitality. After a short while, he brought a roasted calf and placed it before them to eat.
