Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And they were pursued by a curse in this world and (so they will be) on the Day of Resurrection. No doubt! Verily, ‘Âd disbelieved in their Lord. So away with ‘Âd, the people of Hûd.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
60. So a curse followed them in this world [68], and will follow them on the Day of Resurrection as well. Behold! The people of ‘Ad denied their Lord. Behold! Away with ‘Ad, the people of Hud [69].
[68] That is, whenever they are mentioned, it will not be in good words, and this curse will not leave them even on the Day of Resurrection. [69] That is, the first ‘Ad were destroyed in this way, then after them, the people of Thamud became renowned in the world, who are also called the second ‘Ad, and to whom Salih ؑ was sent. The mention of this nation is coming up next. In this regard, also consider the footnotes of Surah Al-A‘raf, verses 73 to 79.
