Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

58. Then when Our command (punishment) came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him by Our will [66], and We delivered them from a severe punishment.

The Punishment Upon the People of ‘Ad:

A punishment of a fierce and extremely cold wind befell them. This wind was so swift and terrifying that it would carry away people and trees. It would break trees and blow away some weak roofs. Then these things would collide with each other, becoming shattered and destroyed. Moreover, this wind was intensely cold, and it continued to blow for eight days and seven nights, entering their homes and utterly destroying them. Before the punishment came, Allah had revealed to Hud ؑ that he and his companions should take refuge in a certain enclosure. In this way, Allah saved the believers from it.
