Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Noah said, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from asking You about that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy [52] upon me, I will be among the losers."

Nuh’s Request for Forgiveness for His Own Mistake:

Nuh (peace be upon him) was, after all, a human being, and the question he asked was compelled by human nature, so it does not seem to be such a great sin that such reproach should descend upon him. However, since the entire life of the Prophets is a model for the Ummah, even their smallest slips are taken to account by Allah Almighty, and this model is kept pure and clean, and this is the meaning of the infallibility of the Prophets. Thus, when Nuh (peace be upon him) was admonished by Allah, he trembled with the realization of his slip, immediately turned to Allah Almighty, and with utmost humility sought forgiveness from Allah Almighty.
