Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

11. Except for those who are patient [14] and do righteous deeds; it is they for whom there is forgiveness and a great reward.

[14] Here, the word “patience” is used in the sense of steadfastness of temperament, meaning those people who neither become disheartened and hopeless in times of calamity but endure it with patience and steadfastness, nor do they lose control of themselves in times of happiness, but keep themselves in check and express gratitude to Allah in every situation. In times of hardship or happiness, their temperament does not display frivolous fluctuations; rather, they maintain their mental balance in all circumstances. Neither wealth, riches, and comfort spoil their temperament, nor do they lose heart during hardship and adversity. Such are the people whose faults Allah forgives and, in return for their good deeds, grants them a great reward.
