Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
1. Have you seen the one who denies the Day of Judgment [1]?
[1] The Four Meanings of Deen:
The word "Deen" comes in four meanings: (1) The complete and perfect sovereignty of Allah Almighty (2) The complete servitude and worship of man (3) The law of reward and punishment (4) The power to enforce the law of reward and punishment. The disbelievers of Makkah denied all four of these. Not only did they not accept Allah alone as God, but they also associated other deities in their worship. They also denied Allah's law of reward and punishment and the Hereafter. In this verse, although the apparent address is to you ﷺ, the commentary is about the disbelievers of Makkah, describing what social and moral evils denial of the Hereafter had produced in them.
