Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
7. Which will rise over the hearts [6].
[6] The Literal Meaning of ﴿فوأد﴾: ﴿أفْئِدَةَ﴾ is the plural of ﴿فوأد﴾, which is derived from ﴿فأد﴾, and ﴿فَأدَاللَحْمَ﴾ means to roast meat, while ﴿لَحْمٌفَئِيْد﴾ means roasted meat. According to Ibn al-Faris, this word indicates heat and intense burning. ﴿فُوَادُ﴾ refers to that part of the heart which is connected to human emotions, the intensity of feelings, and their impact. The meaning is that this is a fire kindled by Allah that will reach that part of the heart which is the center of emotions, where the passion for wealth resides, and which is filled with feelings of looking down upon others and considering oneself to be something great. This fire will roast those emotions and that part of the heart.
