Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

A Comparison Between the Deeds and Outcomes of a Fortunate and an Unfortunate Person:

The attributes and habits of the second group are completely different and opposite from the first group, meaning that he is never willing to spend wealth in the way of Allah, and if he does spend, he spends it on himself or on such things that bring him fame or a reputation for generosity. He lives his life as if his Creator and Master is not watching over him at all, and even if he verbally acknowledges Him, in his practical life he remains completely heedless of His commands and denies every good thing (the explanation of goodness has already been given in the previous footnote). For such people, Allah makes the path to Hell easy and the paths of righteousness and goodness very difficult. Their lives are spent in sin and unlawful deeds. They become so accustomed to earning and consuming unlawful sustenance that they neither like the path of lawful sustenance nor is it made easy for them. Now, in this regard, consider the following ahadith:
1. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The meaning of ﴿وَكَذَّبَ بالْحُسْنٰي﴾ is that he does not believe that whatever he spends in the way of Allah, Allah will reward him for it.
2. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairahؓ says that the Prophet ﷺ said: Every morning two angels descend. One says: "O Allah! Give more wealth to the one who spends," and the other says: "O Allah! Destroy the wealth of the one who withholds." [بخاری۔ کتاب الزکوۃ۔ باب فَاَمَّا مَنْ اَعْطٰی وَاتَّقٰی]
3. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Aliؓ that we were present at a funeral in Baqi'. Meanwhile, the Prophet ﷺ arrived. He ﷺ sat down, so we all sat around him ﷺ. In his ﷺ hand was a stick, and he ﷺ lowered his head and began to scratch the ground with the stick (as if in deep thought). Then he ﷺ said: "The abode of every one of you has been written, whether in Paradise or in Hell, and it has also been written whether he is fortunate or unfortunate." At this, a man said: "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, should we not then rely on what has been written for us and stop acting? For whoever is written among the fortunate will ultimately be among the fortunate, and whoever is written among the unfortunate will ultimately be among the unfortunate." The Prophet ﷺ said: (No, rather keep doing deeds) because those who are written as fortunate are given the ability to do good deeds, and those who are written as unfortunate are facilitated towards evil deeds. Then the Prophet ﷺ recited these verses: [بخاري۔ كتاب التفسير] As for the issue of Allah's prior knowledge regarding a person's end, it has already been clarified that Allah's knowledge does not compel anyone to do only what Allah has decreed for him.
