Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

73. But they denied Noah [86], so We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and made them successors [87], and We drowned those who denied Our signs. So see what was the end of those who had been warned.

[86] One purpose of mentioning the events of Noah (peace be upon him) at this point is that Allah Almighty wants to console His Prophet ﷺ that if your people are denying you, this is nothing new. Previous prophets also faced similar circumstances and they demonstrated the utmost patience and endurance, therefore you should also act with patience and endurance. The second purpose is to warn the deniers that those who denied Our prophets—consider their fate carefully and understand well that if you do not desist from your stubbornness and obstinacy, your end will be the same.

[87]
The Nature of the Flood of Noah:

That is, Allah’s punishment came upon the deniers in such a way that springs of water began to gush forth from the earth below, and torrential rain began to fall from above. According to the commentators, this continued for six months, and the water rose so high above the surface of the earth that even the mountains were submerged. How could the criminals possibly survive? Only those few people who had believed and boarded the ark with Noah (peace be upon him) were saved. After six months, the rains ceased and the earth began to absorb the water; some winds dried up the water. The ark had settled on Mount Judi. After forty days, when the surface of the earth had dried, these same believers who had boarded the ark disembarked onto the land and took possession of the lands of the disbelievers, and the future generations descended from them.
