Such is Allâh, your Lord in truth. So after the truth, what else can there be, save error? How then are you turned away?
فَذَٰلِكُمُ fadhālikumu For that
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu (is) Allah
رَبُّكُمُ rabbukumu your Lord
ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ l-ḥaqu the true
فَمَاذَا famādhā So what (can be)
بَعْدَ baʿda after
ٱلْحَقِّ l-ḥaqi the truth
إِلَّا illā except
ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ۖ l-ḍalālu the error
فَأَنَّىٰ fa-annā So how
تُصْرَفُونَ tuṣ'rafūna (are) you turned away

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

32. Such is Allah, your true Lord. So, after the truth, what remains except error [46]? How then are you turned away [47]?

[46] That is, the belief you people hold regarding the Oneness of Lordship is the very truth and is correct and true. Now, whatever exists apart from this reality can only be false, having no connection with the facts. The requirement of the Oneness of Lordship is that worship should also be devoted to Him alone, and this is the truth and correctness. If you worship others besides Allah or call upon them, then this will be sheer misguidance.
[47] In this question, the passive form is used, which means that there is another person or group present whose very task is to lead people away from the correct way of thinking and put them on the wrong path. Therefore, the question is asked: why do you, becoming blind, follow such misguided leaders? Why do you not use your own intellect? In other words, the person or persons who mislead have been kept veiled so that no provocation arises among them and everyone gets the opportunity to reflect calmly.
