Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 21){ وَ لَسَوْفَ يَرْضٰى:} That is, after attaining the countless blessings of Paradise and high ranks, he will surely be pleased. Most commentators, based on authentic ahadith and reports, have said that in this surah, the one who spends refers to Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), who used to buy and free weak Muslim slaves to save them from the oppression of the disbelievers, and would happily do every good deed solely for the pleasure of Allah. Certainly, Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) is the foremost example of these verses, but the words are general, so every Muslim who possesses these qualities is included in them.
