Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 14) ➊ {فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَعَقَرُوْهَا:} Although one man hamstrung and killed her, since the whole nation was with him and in fact he did this at their urging, therefore all of them were declared guilty and it was said, "They hamstrung her."
{فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْۢبِهِمْ فَسَوّٰىهَا …:} It is in Qamoos: {’’دَمَّمَ الْقَوْمَ كَدَمْدَمَهُمْ وَ دَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ، طَحَنَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَهُمْ۔‘‘ ’’دَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ‘‘} He crushed and destroyed them. Three days after killing the she-camel, a severe supernatural cry came upon them as punishment, and they were annihilated as if they had never existed there; only Salih (peace be upon him) and the believers were saved. This incident has already been mentioned in detail in Surah Hud (62 to 68), Al-A'raf (73 to 79), and Ash-Shu'ara (141 to 159).
