سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا ٱنقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا۟ عَنْهُمْ ۖ فَأَعْرِضُوا۟ عَنْهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ ۖ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿95﴾
They will swear by Allâh to you (Muslims) when you return to them, that you may turn away from them. So turn away from them. Surely, they are Rijs [i.e. Najas (impure) because of their evil deeds], and Hell is their dwelling place - a recompense for that which they used to earn.
سَيَحْلِفُونَ sayaḥlifūna They will swear
بِٱللَّهِ bil-lahi by Allah
لَكُمْ lakum to you
إِذَا idhā when
ٱنقَلَبْتُمْ inqalabtum you returned
إِلَيْهِمْ ilayhim to them
لِتُعْرِضُوا۟ lituʿ'riḍū that you may turn away
عَنْهُمْ ۖ ʿanhum from them
فَأَعْرِضُوا۟ fa-aʿriḍū So turn away
عَنْهُمْ ۖ ʿanhum from them
إِنَّهُمْ innahum indeed, they
رِجْسٌۭ ۖ rij'sun (are) impure
وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ wamawāhum and their abode
جَهَنَّمُ jahannamu (is) Hell
جَزَآءًۢ jazāan a recompense
بِمَا bimā for what
كَانُوا۟ kānū they used (to)
يَكْسِبُونَ yaksibūna earn

(Ayah 95) {سَيَحْلِفُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ لَكُمْ اِذَا انْقَلَبْتُمْ اِلَيْهِمْ … :} Allah Almighty has stated that their purpose in swearing by Allah before you is so that you turn away from them, so indeed, turn away from them. The first meaning of turning away is that you overlook and pardon them, and the second meaning is that along with overlooking and pardoning, you also sever ties with them. Then the reason for severing ties with them is mentioned: they are "rijs," which means "filth," that is, in terms of beliefs and actions, they are so filthy that you should consider them as utter filth, bundles of impurity. The result of associating with filth is only contamination, so avoid them, lest you be influenced by them. "The company of the wicked makes you wicked." Then their end is mentioned. Thus, according to this command of Allah Almighty, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) only overlooked and pardoned them. Thus, Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) (one of those three sincere Muslims who stayed behind without excuse) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from a journey, he would begin with the mosque, so he sat for the people, and those who had stayed behind came and began to present excuses and swear oaths before him. They were a little more than eighty (80) people, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted their outward appearance, took their pledge, sought forgiveness for them, and entrusted their hidden matters to Allah.
