Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 104) {اَلَمْيَعْلَمُوْۤااَنَّاللّٰهَهُوَيَقْبَلُالتَّوْبَةَ … :} In this verse, (sinners are) encouraged towards repentance and charity, because both of these things erase sins, and Allah Almighty has said that whoever repents and then does righteous deeds, Allah accepts his repentance, and even turns his sins into good deeds. See Surah Al-Furqan (70, 71). Is there any limit to this generosity? Then He not only accepts charity, but increases it. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty accepts charity and takes it with His right hand, then nurtures it for one of you as one of you nurtures his mare's foal, until a morsel becomes like the mountain of Uhud." Then, in confirmation of this, he recited the verse under commentary and this verse: «{ يَمْحَقُاللّٰهُالرِّبٰواوَيُرْبِيالصَّدَقٰتِ }»[ البقرۃ : ۲۷۶ ] "Allah destroys usury and increases charities." [ ترمذی، الزکوٰۃ، باب ما جاء فی فضل الصدقۃ : ۶۶۲ ] Its origin is also in Bukhari and Muslim. [ ہدایۃ المستنیر ]
