Surah Al-Burooj (85) — Ayah 12
إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ ﴿12﴾

Verily, (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) the Seizure (punishment) of your Lord is severe and painful. [See V.11:102].

(Ayah 12){ اِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيْدٌ: ’’ بَطْشَ ‘‘} That seizing in which there is swiftness and severity. The seizing of the Lord Almighty, which He Himself describes as severe, how intense must it be? Those who harm the believers are being warned that the seizing of the Lord Almighty is very severe, so beware of it. Elsewhere He said: « وَ كَذٰلِكَ اَخْذُ رَبِّكَ اِذَاۤ اَخَذَ الْقُرٰى وَ هِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ اِنَّ اَخْذَهٗۤ اَلِيْمٌ شَدِيْدٌ» [ھود : ۱۰۲ ] "And such is the seizing of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are doing wrong. Surely, His seizing is painful, very severe."
