Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 74) {وَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ هَاجَرُوْا … :} In this verse, praise is given to the first two groups of Muslims, that is, the earliest Muhajirun and the Ansar, because previously their mention was for the emphasis on mutual friendship and cooperation. In this verse, their praise is described in three ways: first, that these people are true believers due to their faith, migration, striving, and for giving shelter and help to the believers, as opposed to those who believed but did not migrate, which is a deficiency in their faith. See Surah An-Nisa (97). In reality, from Allah, these Muhajirun and Ansar have «اُولٰٓىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ حَقًّا» a very great certificate. Second, for them is a great forgiveness and pardon. In {’’ مَغْفِرَةٌ ‘‘}, the tanween is for magnification. Third, for them is a noble provision, which includes the promise of honorable sustenance in this world along with countless blessings of Paradise. Shah Abdul Qadir (may Allah have mercy on him) says that by honorable sustenance in this world is meant the spoils of war and fay, which is the exclusive right of those who participate in battle with the leader.
