Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so [i.e. become allies, as one united block under one Khalifah (a chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world) to make victorious Allâh’s religion of Islâmic Monotheism], there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism) and oppression on the earth, and a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism).

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 73) ➊ {وَالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْابَعْضُهُمْاَوْلِيَآءُبَعْضٍ:} That is, no matter how much enmity the disbelievers have among themselves, they are all helpers and supporters of each other against you. A disbeliever is only a friend of another disbeliever, not of a Muslim, therefore, a relationship of mutual alliance (friendship, support, and help) between a Muslim and a disbeliever can never exist in any way.
➋ { اِلَّاتَفْعَلُوْهُ:} That is, if you do not love, support, and help each other among yourselves and do not abandon alliance with the disbelievers, meaning if you do not stop mutual affection, cooperation, and becoming heirs to one another with them, and do not sever ties, then there will be great turmoil and a very great corruption in the land. It is narrated from Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim." [ بخاری، الفرائض، باب لا یرث المسلم الکافر … : ۶۷۶۴۔ مسلم : ۱۶۱۴ ]
➌ {تَكُنْفِتْنَةٌفِيالْاَرْضِوَفَسَادٌكَبِيْرٌ:} That is, the secrets of the Muslims will continue to be exposed, there will be constant war, and due to the Muslims not being united against the disbelievers, Islam and the Muslims will become weak, their awe will disappear, the disbelievers will prevail, and the Muslims living with them will be compelled to become apostates, or they will accept their customs, beliefs, and practices, or they will remain silent about them, or they will be subjected to severe trials. In short, in the case of the dominance of the disbelievers and living with them, being content with their servitude or forming friendships with them, peace can never be established on Allah's earth; rather, everywhere there will be turmoil and corruption, war and conflict, polytheism and disbelief, indecency and immorality.
