Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 51) {ذٰلِكَبِمَاقَدَّمَتْاَيْدِيْكُمْ …:} That is, this punishment is absolute justice, because He sent His messengers to explain to you, revealed books, but you did not accept a single one. {’’ ظَلَّامٌ‘‘} is an intensive form, meaning one who does a lot of injustice, but here its negation has come, so it does not mean that Allah is not very unjust to His servants (as if He could do a little), rather, here the negation is also emphatic, meaning Allah does not do even the slightest injustice to His servants. See the benefits of Surah Al-Imran (182). In a long hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Allah says, O My servants! I have made injustice forbidden upon Myself and have made it forbidden among you as well, so do not wrong one another. O My servants! These are your own deeds which I keep preserved for you, then I will give you their full recompense, so whoever finds good, let him thank Allah, and whoever finds other than that, let him blame only himself."
