Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 27){ يٰۤاَيُّهَاالَّذِيْنَاٰمَنُوْالَاتَخُوْنُوااللّٰهَوَالرَّسُوْلَ …:} The scope of betrayal in trusts is very broad. It includes all responsibilities and agreements made with Allah Almighty or with people. Reconciliation, war, and marriage, etc., are also included in this, and each other's personal and military secrets are also trusts. Hatib bin Abi Balta'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) had sent a letter with a woman to Makkah before the conquest of Makkah, in which he informed the people of Makkah about the intention of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to attack, and for this, there was a warning from Allah. [ بخاری، ۳۹۸۳۔ مسلم : ۲۴۹۴ ] See the details of this at the beginning of Surah Al-Mumtahanah. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) rarely gave us a sermon except that he said: [ لاَاِيْمَانَلِمَنْلاَّأَمَانَةَلَهُوَلاَدِيْنَلِمَنْلاَّعَهْدَلَهُ ][ أحمد : 135/3، ح : ۱۲۳۸۳، و حسنہ شعیب الأرنؤوط ۔ ابن حبان : ۱۹۴ ] "He has no faith who has no trust, and he has no religion who has no covenant." It is narrated from Abdullah bin Amr and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them) that one of the signs of a hypocrite is also betrayal in trust. [ بخاری، الإیمان، باب علامات المنافق : ۳۳۔ مسلم : ۵۹ ]
