سُوْرَةُ النَّازِعَاتِ
Surah An-Naazi'aat (79) — Ayah 5
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا ﴿5﴾

And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account).

(Ayah 5){ فَالْمُدَبِّرٰتِ اَمْرًا :} Then they manage the affairs of whatever religious or worldly task they are commanded. In the Noble Qur’an, the things by which oaths are sworn are either to draw attention to their uniqueness or to mention them as testimony for the forthcoming response to the oath. Here, the response to the oath is not explicitly stated, but by mentioning the conditions of the Resurrection, it is automatically understood that these oaths are sworn to assure that the Resurrection will certainly take place. The Arabs acknowledged that the angels are appointed by Allah for the taking of souls and for managing other affairs. By mentioning these attributes of the angels and swearing by them, it is on this basis that the angels, by Allah’s command, seize souls, move swiftly throughout the universe, and manage the affairs of the universe; by the same command of Allah, they can blow the trumpet to bring this universe to an end, and by blowing again, they can bring it back to life anew.
