Surah An-Naazi'aat (79) — Ayah 46

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا ﴿46﴾
The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning.
كَأَنَّهُمْ ka-annahum As though they
يَوْمَ yawma (the) Day
يَرَوْنَهَا yarawnahā they see it
لَمْ lam not
يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ yalbathū they had remained
إِلَّا illā except
عَشِيَّةً ʿashiyyatan an evening
أَوْ aw or
ضُحَىٰهَا ḍuḥāhā a morning thereof

(Ayah 46){ كَاَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا … :} That is, the Resurrection which they consider to be very far off, when it comes, it will seem to them as if they had stayed in the world only for the latter part of the day or its first part, not even a full day.
