Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 7) {وَ لِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْ:} That is, whatever favor you do to someone or whatever gift you give, be patient only to receive its reward from your Lord. {’’ وَ لِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْ ‘‘} also includes the meaning that you will face many hardships and difficulties in delivering the message of truth, you will have to confront both Arabs and non-Arabs, so endure all these hardships with patience, and this patience should be solely for the pleasure of your Lord. Without this courage and determination, the work of invitation cannot be accomplished. Luqman said to his son: «وَ اْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَ انْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَ اصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَاۤ اَصَابَكَ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْاُمُوْرِ » [ لقمان : ۱۷ ] "And enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and bear patiently whatever befalls you; surely, these are among the matters requiring determination."
