(Ayah 12 to 14){وَ جَعَلْتُ لَهٗ مَالًا …: ’’ مَمْدُوْدًا ‘‘ ’’مَدَّ يَمُدُّ‘‘} (ن) is the passive participle, spread out. That is, livestock, fields, gardens, businesses, and all kinds of abundant wealth were granted. {’’ شُهُوْدًا ‘‘ ’’شَاهِدٌ‘‘} is the plural, sons present at all times for service were granted. Sons are a blessing from Allah, and if they stay nearby to manage all affairs and are ready for service, then it is an even greater blessing. {’’ مَهَّدْتُّ ‘‘} (taf‘īl) means to spread, to provide. That is, along with wealth and children, all means of honor, prestige, and leadership were made smooth for him.
