Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 9) {رَبُّالْمَشْرِقِوَالْمَغْرِبِ … :} That is, He alone is the Owner and Sustainer of the East and the West; always remember Him, worship Him alone, and place your trust in Him alone. When He is the only One worthy of worship and the Trustee, then what is there to worry about in becoming indifferent to the whole world? The command to dedicate both worship and trust exclusively to Allah has come in many verses, as He said: « فَاعْبُدْهُوَتَوَكَّلْعَلَيْهِ »[ ہود : ۱۲۳] "So worship Him alone and put your trust in Him alone." And He said: « اِيَّاكَنَعْبُدُوَاِيَّاكَنَسْتَعِيْنُ»[ الفاتحۃ : ۴ ] "We worship You alone and seek help from You alone." {’’ وَكِيْلًا ‘‘ ’’وَكَلَيَكِلُ‘‘} (D) To entrust. A "Wakil" (Trustee) is the one to whom a task is entrusted, meaning that despite your full effort, place your trust only in Allah Almighty and entrust all your affairs to Him alone.
