Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 10){ وَاصْبِرْعَلٰىمَايَقُوْلُوْنَ … :} That is, make Allah alone your support, completely abandon their deities, and whatever they say to you because of this act and its invitation and preaching, be patient—whether they call you a liar, or insane, or a soothsayer, or a poet, or call you "Muzammam" instead of Muhammad, in short, whatever they say or whatever accusation they make, you should be patient. Do not get caught up in revenge, nor complain about their ill-treatment. The meaning of separating in a beautiful manner is that it should not be with quarrelling or harsh words, but rather with utmost good conduct, patience, and dignity, you should distance yourself from them. Secondly, such separation should not be to the extent that you boycott them and cut off communication, thereby withdrawing from the invitation altogether. Thirdly, despite outward separation, there should be no decrease in your goodwill, sympathy, and guidance towards them.
