سُوْرَةُ الْجِنِّ
Surah Al-Jinn (72) — Ayah 24
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا ﴿24﴾

Till, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who it is that is weaker concerning helpers and less important concerning numbers.

(Ayah 24) {حَتّٰۤى اِذَا رَاَوْا مَا يُوْعَدُوْنَ … :} That is, the disbelievers boast about the abundance of their numbers and the strength of their supporters, and they taunt the Muslims for their small numbers and weakness, so let them do so; all this is only for a short time, until when they see with their own eyes that thing which they are promised, then at that time they will know who is weaker in supporters and fewer in number. The thing which they are promised refers to the dominance of Islam and the defeat of the disbelievers, as they saw with their own eyes at Badr, Khandaq, the conquest of Makkah, and Hunayn; it also refers to fear and famine being imposed upon the disbelievers, and the angels striking their faces and backs at the time of death, the punishment of the grave, the terrors of the Day of Judgment, and the fire of Hell. As they witness all these things step by step, the reality of the abundance of their numbers and the strength of their supporters will become clear to them.
