قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ ٱللَّهَ وَحْدَهُۥ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا ۖ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ ﴿70﴾
They said: "You have come to us that we should worship Allâh Alone and forsake that which our fathers used to worship. So bring us that wherewith you have threatened us if you are of the truthful."
قَالُوٓا۟ qālū They said
أَجِئْتَنَا aji'tanā Have you come to us
لِنَعْبُدَ linaʿbuda that we (should) worship
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
وَحْدَهُۥ waḥdahu Alone
وَنَذَرَ wanadhara and we forsake
مَا what
كَانَ kāna used to
يَعْبُدُ yaʿbudu worship
ءَابَآؤُنَا ۖ ābāunā our forefathers
فَأْتِنَا fatinā Then bring us
بِمَا bimā of what
تَعِدُنَآ taʿidunā you promise us
إِن in if
كُنتَ kunta you are
مِنَ mina of
ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ l-ṣādiqīna the truthful
