Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 6) {فَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ۠الَّذِيْنَاُرْسِلَاِلَيْهِمْ:} In the previous verse, the warning was about the punishment in this world; in this verse, the warning is about matters of the Hereafter. (Kabir) That is, We will ask people how far they accepted the invitation of Our messengers, as stated in Surah Al-Qasas, verse (65): «وَيَوْمَيُنَادِيْهِمْفَيَقُوْلُمَاذَاۤاَجَبْتُمُالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ » And the Day He will call them and say, "What answer did you give to the messengers?" And He will ask the prophets whether you conveyed Our message to the people or not? And if you did, what answer did they give? As stated in Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse (109): «يَوْمَيَجْمَعُاللّٰهُالرُّسُلَفَيَقُوْلُمَاذَاۤاُجِبْتُمْ» The Day Allah will gather the messengers and say, "What response were you given?" The purpose will be to rebuke and humiliate the disbelievers.
