Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 49){ اَهٰۤؤُلَآءِ الَّذِيْنَ اَقْسَمْتُمْ:} When the affluent people of the Quraysh saw the poor and destitute Muslims with the Prophet (peace be upon him), they would swear oaths and say that these people have no status such that Allah would bestow His mercy upon them. Now, the people of A'raf, recognizing in Hell those who used to say such things to the poor Muslims, will say: Look, these are the very ones about whom you used to swear that Allah would not grant them any mercy. Behold! Now they are the ones to whom it has been said: Enter Paradise; there will be no fear upon you, nor will you grieve.
