سُوْرَةُ الْاَعْرَافِ
Surah Al-A'raaf (7) — Ayah 42
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ ﴿42﴾

But those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism), and worked righteousness - We tax not any person beyond his scope - such are the dwellers of Paradise. They will abide therein.

(Ayah 42) {لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَاۤ:} This sentence, "We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity," is a parenthetical statement. By inserting this sentence in the middle, the purpose is to clarify that the deeds Allah Almighty has made obligatory for entering Paradise are not beyond human ability and strength, so that it would be difficult for a person to perform them. Rather, all are according to his capacity, making their performance easy for him, and only as much is obligatory as a person has the strength for. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When I forbid you from something, then avoid it, and when I command you to do something, then do of it as much as you are able."
