Mûsâ (Moses) said to his people: "Seek help in Allâh and be patient. Verily, the earth is Allâh’s. He gives it as a heritage to whom He wills of His slaves; and the (blessed) end is for the Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2)."

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 128) ➊ { قَالَ مُوْسٰى لِقَوْمِهِ اسْتَعِيْنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ … :} Upon Pharaoh’s threats, Musa (peace be upon him) considered it necessary to reassure his people, so he advised them to seek help from Allah and to be patient. As a result, they made it a practice to recite the supplication for refuge from the oppressors, which Allah Almighty has mentioned in Surah Yunus: «{ رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ (85) وَ نَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ [ یونس : ۸۵، ۸۶ ] Musa (peace be upon him), while comforting them, also gave them the glad tidings that although today Pharaoh rules over Egypt, tomorrow Allah Almighty can make you the inheritors, that is, the rulers of his land.

➋ The literal meaning of {وَ الْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ: ’’ عَاقِبَةٌ ‘‘} is “end,” which can be good or bad, as He said: «{ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ [ القصص : ۴۰ ] “So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.” But when “al” (the definite article) is added to it, it means only a good end.
