Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 52) {فَسَبِّحْبِاسْمِرَبِّكَالْعَظِيْمِ :} That is, whether they believe or not, you should continue to proclaim the tasbih of the name of your Lord of Majesty, whose speech this is. By its blessing, every difficulty will become easy for you. After this verse and also in ruku, {’’سُبْحَانَرَبِّيَالْعَظِيْمِ‘‘} should be recited. Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) once stood in prayer at night with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah Al-Baqarah, An-Nisa, and Aal-e-Imran in a single rak'ah. Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite the Qur'an slowly and thoughtfully; when he passed by a verse mentioning tasbih, he would recite tasbih; when he passed by a verse of supplication, he would supplicate; when he passed by a verse seeking refuge, he would seek refuge. Then he performed ruku and continued to recite {’’سُبْحَانَرَبِّيَالْعَظِيْمِ‘‘}, and his ruku was as long as his standing. Then he said {’’سَمِعَاللّٰهُلِمَنْحَمِدَهٗ‘‘}, then he stood for a long time near the length of his ruku, then he performed sujud and continued to recite {’’سُبْحَانَرَبِّيَالْأَعْلٰي‘‘} in his sujud.
