Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 15){ فَيَوْمَىِٕذٍوَّقَعَتِالْوَاقِعَةُ:’’ الْوَاقِعَةُ ‘‘} The Event to Occur. That is, after mentioning the fate of the deniers of the Resurrection in this world, now the manner of its occurrence is described: that suddenly a blast will be blown into the Trumpet, and with it, the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and struck together at once, shattering them into pieces, and all living beings will die and fall down. This event will happen all of a sudden; no one knows its time, not even the one who will blow the Trumpet. It is narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ كَيْفَأَنْعَمُوَصَاحِبُالْقَرْنِقَدِالْتَقَمَالْقَرْنَوَاسْتَمَعَالْأُذُنَمَتٰیيُؤْمَرُبِالنَّفْخِفَيَنْفُخُ ][ ترمذي، صفۃ القیامۃ والرقائق، باب ماجاء في شأن الصور : ۲۴۳۱، و صححہ الألباني، أنظر صحیح الجامع الصغیر : ۴۵۹۲] "How can I be at ease when the one with the Trumpet (the angel) has taken the Trumpet to his mouth, has inclined his ear, and has lowered his forehead, waiting for when he will be commanded to blow into it, so he will blow."
