Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Verily! It is Allâh Who causes the seed-grain and the fruit-stone (like date-stone) to split and sprout. He brings forth the living from the dead, and it is He Who brings forth the dead from the living. Such is Allâh, then how are you deluded away from the truth?

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 95) ➊ {اِنَّاللّٰهَفَالِقُالْحَبِّوَالنَّوٰى … :} After mentioning the oneness of Allah and some matters related to it, once again the existence of Allah, His oneness, and the perfection of His power and knowledge are being discussed, which is the main subject of this surah. ➋ {’’ النَّوٰى ‘‘} This is the plural of {’’ نَوَاةٌ ‘‘}, therefore it has been translated as "pits." That is, Allah splits the grain in the earth to bring forth a flourishing plant, and splits the pit to bring forth a lush date palm tree. Observe His craftsmanship: He brings forth the living from the dead, such as a living being from a drop of fluid or an egg, a living tree from a grain or a pit, and a Muslim from a disbeliever; and He brings forth the dead from the living, such as a drop of fluid or an egg from an animal or a bird, grains and pits from plants and trees, and a disbeliever from a Muslim. This is Allah, who alone deserves your worship; then how strange it is that, being misled by Satan, you begin to worship others besides Him.
