Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 90) ➊ {فَبِهُدٰىهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ:} That is, remain steadfast upon their path in monotheism and beliefs, because all the prophets are united in these matters. Also, follow those other rulings which have not been abrogated. Or, it means that you too should be patient with the harm from enemies just as those prophets were. This verse is evidence that in matters where no new command has come, the Prophet (peace be upon him) was instructed to remain upon the way of the previous prophets. Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that he asked Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): "Is there a prostration in Surah Sad?" So he recited from «وَ وَهَبْنَا لَهٗۤ اِسْحٰقَ وَ يَعْقُوْبَ» to «فَبِهُدٰىهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ» and said: "Yes, he (Dawud, peace be upon him) was also among those whom you have been commanded to follow in this verse, and in this verse the prostration of Dawud (peace be upon him) is mentioned, and you (peace be upon him) have been commanded to follow these prophets." [بخاری، التفسیر، باب قولہ: «أولئك الذين هدي الله … » : ۴۶۳۲ ]
{اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٰى لِلْعٰلَمِيْنَ:} From this it is understood that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was sent to both jinn and mankind, and his prophethood is until the Day of Judgment.
