Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 66) {وَ كَذَّبَ بِهٖ قَوْمُكَ:} Your people have denied it. The pronoun in this { ’’ بِهٖ ‘‘} can refer to the Qur’an, and it can also refer to the punishment mentioned in the previous verses. «قُلْ لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِوَكِيْلٍ» That is, it is not my task to send down punishment myself because of your denial and insolence; my task is only to convey to you the message of Allah and to inform the disbelievers of its consequences. After that, whether to send punishment or not is in Allah’s power, and it is your responsibility to be concerned about saving yourselves from it.
