Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 37)➊ {وَ قَالُوْا لَوْ لَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ … :} The deniers of Prophethood also raised this objection that if he is truly Allah’s Messenger, then why does he not bring with him such a visible miracle that, upon seeing it, everyone would know that he is indeed a Messenger sent by Allah Almighty.

➋ Allah Almighty answered that He is certainly capable of doing so, but His wisdom and expediency dictate that if a clear and manifest sign were to come—like the she-camel that was sent during the time of Salih (peace be upon him)—then, according to Allah’s law, their period of respite would end and punishment would come immediately. However, Allah’s mercy demands that they not be destroyed, but most of them do not know this. (Razi) See Surah Bani Isra’il (59).
