سُوْرَةُ الْاَنْعَامِ

Surah Al-An'aam (6) — Ayah 16

مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُۥ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ﴿16﴾
He who is averted from (such a torment) on that Day, (Allâh) has surely been Merciful to him. And that would be the obvious success.
مَّن man Whoever
يُصْرَفْ yuṣ'raf is averted
عَنْهُ ʿanhu from it
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ yawma-idhin that Day
فَقَدْ faqad then surely
رَحِمَهُۥ ۚ raḥimahu He had Mercy on him
وَذَٰلِكَ wadhālika And that
ٱلْفَوْزُ l-fawzu (is) the success
ٱلْمُبِينُ l-mubīnu (the) clear

(Ayah 16) {مَنْ يُّصْرَفْ عَنْهُ …:} That is, attaining a high rank is indeed a great thing, but if someone is merely spared from the punishment of the Hereafter, then in itself this is a very clear success.
