Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 115) ➊ { وَتَمَّتْكَلِمَتُرَبِّكَ …… :} Here, by "word" and "words" is meant the Quran, that is, the Quran is sufficient as a miracle and as proof of the truthfulness of your (Prophet Muhammad's) prophethood. Because all the subjects of the Quran are of only two types: reports or commands. Here, {’’ صِدْقًا ‘‘} relates to reports and {’’ عَدْلًا ‘‘} relates to commands, and the meaning is that all the reports in the Noble Quran, whether they are related to Allah's essence and attributes, or past events, or future promises and incidents, all of them are completely true, and all the commands in it are based on justice and fairness; there is no room for any kind of change or amendment in them. In the presence of such a perfect book, there remains no room for these satanic whispers or intellectual doubts and suspicions. (Razi) Then why are they interfering in such an important issue as slaughter with their own misunderstanding? ➋ { لَامُبَدِّلَلِكَلِمٰتِهٖ: } That is, neither can such doubts affect the miraculous nature of the Quran, nor is any amendment permissible in its commands and prohibitions, nor, as alteration occurred in the Torah and the Gospel, can it occur in the Quran.
