[Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)] "Shall I seek a judge other than Allâh while it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (the Qur’ân), explained in detail." Those unto whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 114) ➊ {اَفَغَيْرَ اللّٰهِ اَبْتَغِيْ حَكَمًا …… :} In the above verses, it has been stated that these disbelievers will not believe under any circumstances, therefore, sending down signs for them is useless. Now here it is mentioned that the detailed Book which Allah has revealed is sufficient as proof of your Prophethood. The disbelievers of Makkah wanted that, regarding the opposition between them and the Prophet (peace be upon him), the People of the Book or someone else should be made a judge, and then whatever decision they give should be accepted. In this verse, their suggestion is being answered: Should I seek any judge other than Allah?
{يَعْلَمُوْنَ اَنَّهٗ مُنَزَّلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ: } Because their prophets also used to give them glad tidings of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and in their books, your signs are also present.
{ فَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِيْنَ: } That is, regarding this, the People of the Book have certainty in their hearts about the truth of the Qur'an. The address is to you (peace be upon him), but what is meant is all Muslims. (Razi)
