Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 64,63) {اَفَرَءَيْتُمْمَّاتَحْرُثُوْنَ …:} In this verse, a powerful proof of Allah Almighty’s oneness and the Resurrection is presented, that is, tell me: that field whose seed you bury in the earth and leave, is it you who bring it forth and make it grow from the earth until it becomes fit for eating, upon which your life depends, or are We the ones who cause it to grow? The answer can only be: O our Lord! This is Your work alone; it is not within our power. So every intelligent person will say that the One who caused these grain-filled ears to grow from that seed which had decayed in the depths of the earth, He is also able to bring you back to life after death. Allah Almighty has repeated this point throughout the Noble Qur’an. See Surah Al-A’raf (57), Ar-Rum (50), and Ha-Meem As-Sajdah (39).
