Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 30) {وَ ظِلٍّ مَّمْدُوْدٍ:} Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: [ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً يَسِيْرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِيْ ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ لاَ يَقْطَعُهَا وَاقْرَؤا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : «وَ ظِلٍّ مَّمْدُوْدٍ » ] [ بخاري، التفسیر، باب قولہ : « و ظل ممدود » : ۴۸۸۱ ] "In Paradise, there is a tree under whose shade a rider could travel for a hundred years." If you wish, recite this verse: « وَ ظِلٍّ مَّمْدُوْدٍ » "And in a shade that is widely spread." {’’ مَمْدُوْدٍ ‘‘} The shade includes both the expanse in terms of place and in terms of time, as He said: «اُكُلُهَا دَآىِٕمٌ وَّ ظِلُّهَا » [ الرعد : ۳۵ ] "Its fruit is everlasting, and so is its shade."
