Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
The conjunction of {وَفَاكِهَةٍمِّمَّايَتَخَيَّرُوْنَ: ’’ فَاكِهَةٍ ‘‘} is with {’’ بِاَكْوَابٍ ‘‘}, meaning that on thrones made of gold, the people of Paradise will be sitting facing each other, reclining, while {’’ وِلْدَانٌمُّخَلَّدُوْنَ ‘‘} will be circulating among them with cups of wine and fruits of their choice and the meat of birds as they desire. They will also enjoy the pleasure of servants bringing fruits to present to them, and if they wish to pick and eat with their own hands, that too will always be available to them, as He said: « وَجَنَاالْجَنَّتَيْنِدَانٍ »[ الرحمٰن : ۵۴ ] "And the fruit of both gardens will be near." And He said: «قُطُوْفُهَادَانِيَةٌ »[ الحآقہ : ۲۳ ] "Whose fruits will be near at hand." For the meaning of {’’ فَاكِهَةٍ ‘‘}, see Surah As-Saffat (42).
