بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ ﴿18﴾

(Ayah 18) ➊ { بِاَكْوَابٍ وَّ اَبَارِيْقَ: ’’ أَكْوَابٌ‘‘ ’’كُوْبٌ‘‘} is the plural of كُوْبٌ, which is a vessel that has neither a handle nor a spout. {’’ اَبَارِيْقَ ‘‘ ’’إِبْرِيْقٌ‘‘} is the plural of إِبْرِيْقٌ. Its root is {’’بَرْقٌ‘‘} (shine); it is a vessel which has a spout or a handle to hold, or both. Because of its shine, it is called {’’إِبْرِيْقٌ‘‘}. Some say that this is the Arabized form of the Persian word "Abreez."
