سُوْرَةُ الْوَاقِعَةِ
Surah Al-Waaqia (56) — Ayah 10
وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ﴿10﴾

And those foremost [(in Islâmic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islâm] will be foremost (in Paradise).

وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ

(Ayah 10) {وَ السّٰبِقُوْنَ السّٰبِقُوْنَ:} This can have two meanings: one is that by the first {’’ السّٰبِقُوْنَ ‘‘} is meant those who are foremost in action, and by the second {’’ السّٰبِقُوْنَ ‘‘} is meant those who are foremost in rank. That is, those people who are ahead of others in embracing faith and performing righteous deeds will also enter Paradise before others and will be ahead of others in its ranks. The second meaning is that both {’’ السّٰبِقُوْنَ ‘‘} refer to the same group, and the purpose is to express their distinction, as it is said: {’’أَنْتَ أَنْتَ‘‘} that you, you are the one, what can be said about you, no one else is like you; and as the poet has said:
{أَنَا أَبُو النَّجْمِ ¤ وَ شِعْرِيْ شِعْرِيْ}
"I am Abu al-Najm, and my poetry is truly my poetry."
That is, what can be said about my poetry. Meaning, the foremost are indeed the foremost, no one else can reach their rank.
