Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 58) {كَاَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوْتُ وَ الْمَرْجَانُ: ’’ الْيَاقُوْتُ ‘‘} The red stone which is so clear and transparent that if a thread is passed through a hole in it, it can be seen from outside. {’’ الْمَرْجَانُ ‘‘} Refers to coral (small pearls). The red and white complexion, charm, cleanliness, and transparency of the women of Paradise have been likened to ruby and coral. فَقَالَ أَبُوْ هُرَيْرَةَ أَوَ لَمْ يَقُلْ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلٰی صُوْرَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَالَّتِيْ تَلِيْهَا عَلٰی أَضْوَإِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ فِي السَّمَاء ِ لِكُلِّ امْرِءٍ مِّنْهُمْ زَوْجَتَانِ اثْنَتَانِ يُرٰی مُخُّ سُوْقِهِمَا مِنْ وَّرَاءِ اللَّحْمِ وَمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ عَزَبٌ] [مسلم، الجنۃ و صفۃ نعیمھا، باب أول زمرۃ تدخل الجنۃ : ۲۸۳۴ ] "Either because people mentioned pride between women and men, or there was a discussion as to whether there will be more men or women in Paradise? So Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Did Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) not say that the first group to enter Paradise will be like the full moon, and the next group will be like the brightest shining star in the sky, each man among them will have two wives, whose marrow of their shins will be visible from beneath the flesh, and there will be no person in Paradise without a wife.'" Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ لَرَوْحَةٌ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ أَوْ غَدْوَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيْهَا ، وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قِيْدٍ يَعْنِيْ سَوْطَهُ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيْهَا وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ اطَّلَعَتْ إِلٰی أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ لَأَضَاعَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَمَلَأَتْهُ رِيْحًا ، وَلَنَصِيْفُهَا عَلٰی رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِّنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيْهَا ] [بخاري، الجھاد و السیر، باب حور العین وصفتہن: ۲۷۹۶ ] "A morning or an evening spent in the way of Allah is better than the world and whatever is in it, and the space of a bow or a whip of any one of you in Paradise is better than the world and whatever is in it, and if a woman from the people of Paradise were to look towards the people of the earth, the space between the earth and the sky would be illuminated and filled with fragrance, and the scarf on her head is better than the world and whatever is in it."
