Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 50) ➊ {وَ مَاۤ اَمْرُنَاۤ اِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِالْبَصَرِ:} means indeed the Resurrection is a very great thing, at whose awe the heavens and the earth tremble, as He said: «ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ » [ الأعراف : ۱۸۷ ] "It is heavy upon the heavens and the earth." But do not think that establishing it is difficult for Us, or that if We wish to bring it, there will be any delay in its coming; for Us, it is only a single command, and the matter is accomplished in the blink of an eye, as He said: « اِنَّمَااَمْرُهٗۤ اِذَاۤ اَرَادَ شَيْـًٔا اَنْ يَّقُوْلَ لَهٗ كُنْ فَيَكُوْنُ» [ یٰس : ۸۲ ] "His command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, 'Be,' and it is." See also Surah An-Nahl (77).

➋ Here is a question: after {’’ وَ مَاۤ اَمْرُنَاۤ ‘‘}, there should have been {’’إِلَّا وَاحِدٌ‘‘}, so why was {’’ وَاحِدَةٌ ‘‘} said? The answer is that by this is meant {’’كَلِمَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ‘‘}, that is, Our command is only a single word of {’’ كُنْ ‘‘}.
