Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 26) {وَكَمْمِّنْمَّلَكٍفِيالسَّمٰوٰتِلَاتُغْنِيْشَفَاعَتُهُمْشَيْـًٔا … :} That is, these helpers and removers of difficulties of yours, and the gods and goddesses made in the names of angels, are merely products of your imagination and conjecture; in reality, they do not exist at all. Here, even the real angels who dwell in the heavens and have closeness to Allah Almighty, their intercession is of no avail, except for the one whom Allah Almighty permits, and it benefits only the one for whom Allah Almighty is pleased with intercession and grants permission for it. In short, the authority of intercession also rests only with Allah Almighty. He said: « قُلْلِّلّٰهِالشَّفَاعَةُجَمِيْعًا »[ الزمر : ۴۴ ] "Say, all intercession belongs entirely to Allah." Then why do you call upon and worship anyone else besides Him? For more on intercession, see Surah Al-Baqarah (255): « مَنْذَاالَّذِيْيَشْفَعُعِنْدَهٗۤاِلَّابِاِذْنِهٖ» (Ayat al-Kursi) and the commentary of Surah An-Naba (38).
