Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
It is derived from {عِنْدَهَاجَنَّةُالْمَاْوٰى: ’’ الْمَاْوٰى ‘‘ ’’ أَوٰييَأْوِيْأُوِيًّا ‘‘ (ض) ’’اَلْبَيْتَوَإِلَيالْبَيْتِ‘‘}, which is a masdar mimi (mim-prefixed verbal noun), meaning to reside in a house, to dwell. That is, the Paradise which is the place of residence and eternal abode for the righteous people. From this, it is understood that the Paradise in which the believers will have eternal residence is near Sidrat al-Muntaha above the heavens. In the hadith narrated from Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him), it is mentioned that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken to Paradise after Sidrat al-Muntaha. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: : ۳۴۹ ] "Then I was taken to Sidrat al-Muntaha, and it was covered with such colors that I do not know what they were. Then I was admitted into Paradise, and behold, there were strings of pearls in it and its soil was musk."
